Portugal team UEFA Euro Cup 2008

Luiz Felipe Scolari has announced the final and definitive list of players that will be part of the Portugal squad / team for the UEFA Euro Cup 2008 in Austria and Switzerland this summer in less than 25 days. The big surprise is that Portuguese player Maniche is not included in this final list.

Portugal is in Group A of the UEFA Euro Cup 2008, along with Turkey, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. Their first game will be against Turkey on the same day of the inauguration of the Euro Cup 2008, June the 7th at 20:45 in Geneve, in the stadium Stade de Geneve. The other match of the day will be Switzerland against the Czech Republic at 18:00.

Different from other teams taking part in the UEFA Euro Cup 2008, Portugal will have only one game before the tournament begins. The match will be Portugal against Georgia, on may the 31st, in Portugal before heading to Switzerland. Other teams are planning to have at least 3 games before the beginning of the UEFA Euro Cup 2008.
